Harris Purley Choir perform at Whitgift
Shoppers in the Whitgift Centre were treated to an hours singing from the Purley Choir today. Led by John Fisher the students sang a collection of songs including carols in the centre of the Whitgift. The students have worked hard on their harmonies and are now confident singing in four parts. It was a brilliant experience for our Choir who were very enthusiastic and keen to impress the gathering crowds.
Miss Van der Weide commented "Lots of people commented how good the choir sounded and stopped to listen to the performance. It was lovely to see so many parents coming to listen. I was extremely proud."
Year 7 student Daniel said "We sang for Lord Harris in October but I was just as nervous here. We had to stand up high on a stage with a Christmas tree to sing and loads of people listened."
Well done Purley
