 1) To communicate about yourself

2) To analyse and apply the adjectival endings for nationalities

Autumn 2

1) To give positive and negative opinions

 

2) To understand how the infinitive is formed for –‘ER; verbs, to ‘IR’ verbs and ‘RE’ verbs

 

3) To apply correct forms of possessive adjectives

 1) To use the verbs ‘Avoir’ (To have) / ‘Etre’ (To be) in  speaking and writing

 

2) To read extended texts and identify the verb ‘Faire’ (To do) against various pronouns

Spring 1

 School:

  • School subjects you like / don’t like

  • Numbers up to 60 / how to tell the time

 1) To link prior learning to school subjects and give opinions

 

2) To put numbers acquired in context and tell time

 

3) To become familiar with common irregular verbs

 1) Identifying language from a range of topics within an extended text

 

2) To extend writing with future tense

 

3) To read aloud with good pronunciation

 

Spring 2

 Home and Regions:

  • Your area and the weather

  • Where you live

  • Flats and houses

  • Things in your bedroom

 1) To analyse the way adjective endings change in the Dative Case with masculine, feminine and neuter nouns

 

2) To identify various types of houses and define with a range of adjectives

 

3) To pick out items of the bedroom and their gender from an extended dialogue

 

Asessments : Speaking / Listening

 1) To access weather forecast for other countries

 

2) To apply position of adjectives within sentences

 

 

 

Summer 1

 Family and other people:

  • Family

  • Morning routines

  • Descriptions of appearance and personality

2) To understand use of reflexive verb

 1) To develop paragraphs and extended writing, to includes range of topics, grammar and verbs

 

Summer 2
