Christie's Auction House
On Monday 30th April 2018, Ms Robbins and Ms Msemburi accompanied 7 Harris Experience students to Christie's Auction House, London. The students were first challenged to guess the price that some beautiful pieces of furniture and art were auctioned for, and then spent time creating mini models of different places to sell art. One group created a modern auction house with multiple entrances and a colourful tower, and one group opted to recreate Royal Ascot with a newly built action room. In July, these students will be returning to Christie's, where they will have the opportunity to put something they have created up for auction, and have somebody actually buy it!
The students were well behaved and very respectful, and Nathaniel showcased an amazing ability to accurately value art, which astounded the event co-ordinator. They were incredibly engaged in the activities and clearly put their top effort into working cooperatively to achieve the set goals.
