Media Studies Talk at HCACP

On 9th April 2018, the A2 Media Studies students embarked on a trip to Harris City  Academy Crystal Palace to attend a talk about the critical perspectives of Media Studies through the use of television and newspaper. The talk was led by ex-OCR Chief Examiner, Robert Miller and he discussed the structure, content and thorough use of acquired knowledge, the exam board wants students to use in order for their answers to be effective. This will enable students to actively gain more marks in the final exam.

Brotherhood and iBoy were the two media texts presented by Robert Miller as it correlated perfectly to the main topic of A2 Media Studies - British Urban Youth. Overall, the trip proved to provide the students with immense amounts of information that would enable them to better understand and handle the upcoming A level Media Studies exam to a better degree.
