Rewards

Rewards Trips

At the end of each term, the Academy organises special rewards trips for students who have collected enough Purley Enterprise Points.  These trips have included bowling, Thorpe Park and even an all-expenses paid trip to watch Star Wars on the morning of its release!  We hope these trips serve as a great incentive for students to collect as many Purley Enterprise Points as they can.

Breakfast with the Principal

Each half term, students who receive a Golden Ticket are invited to join the Principal for a buffet style breakfast. Students are awarded Golden Tickets for their hard work, service to others, helpfulness and by being a positive role model.

At the breakfast, students help themselves to a range of breakfast foods including fresh fruit, croissants, sausage and bacon rolls (with vegitarian options) and a selection of juices or water.

The breakfast gives students an opportunity to discussion life at the Academy with the Principal and to learn about new things happening at their school. They are also encouraged to suggest ways the staff and Student Voice can improve the Academy.  An article is created in our news section for each breakfast that takes place and this includes the topics that have been discussed at the breakfast.

Year 11 Prom

At the end of June, the Academy organises a Year 11 Prom for students who receive a series of positive rewards throughout the academic year.

For our 2016 Prom, Year 11 students boarded the William B. at Tower Millennium Pier, for a three hour cruise along the Thames.  The cruise passed many of London's most iconic landmarks including the Tower of London, Tower Bridge and the London Eye.  We ventured as far east as the Cutty Sark in Greenwich, which gave our students a completely new perspective of London, before returning to the pier right beside the Tower of London.

On board, the students were treated to a finger buffet and soft drinks, while a dedicated DJ played their requests throughout the evening.  As you can see from the images below, the students looked fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed their prom.
