Enrichment & Extension

Our Enrichment & Extension activities not only give students the chance to further develop their skills learnt in lessons but allows them to try new activities not typically taught in the curriculum. 

Here at Harris Academy Purley we value every opportunity to extend the learning for our students. Activities run before school, during lunch and after school, every day.

We offer a range of extra-curricular sports clubs that are open to all year groups. These clubs meet for weekly training sessions and regularly play competitive matches against local schools.

At Harris Academy Purley, we believe that enrichment is an essential part of a high-quality education. Our enrichment programme will provide every student with purposeful opportunities beyond the taught curriculum that broaden horizons, develop character, strengthen belonging and prepare young people to participate confidently in their community and wider society.

We recognise that access to opportunities outside the classroom can have a significant impact on students' experiences of school. We are therefore committed to ensuring that enrichment is inclusive, ambitious and accessible to all, rather than being dependent upon prior experience, confidence, or financial means.

Our ambition is that every student leaves Harris Academy Purley able to identify experiences, achievements and relationships developed through enrichment that have contributed positively to the person they have become.

Surrey County Cricket Club Academy

Harris Academy Purley are proud to have formed a partnership with Surrey County Cricket Club in support of their State School Sixth Form Cricket Programme.
