Harris Academy Purley's centre number is 14324
The Harris Sixth Form's centre number is 14390
GCSE and A-Level students will sit their formal examinations in the summer. A timetable for those examinations will be published on our website by the end of the spring term.
Students must arrive at the Academy, in full school uniform and with all necessary equipment, at least 30 minutes before the start of their exam. In many cases, revision sessions will run on the day of the exam.
A more comprehensive checklist for examinations can be found here.
All students in Years 7-10 will sit mid-year and end-of-year assessments during set windows across the Academic year. These assessments act as an opportunity to assess learning and progress over time.
Most assessment windows are sat off timetable, meaning that students will follow a specific assessment schedule during the assessment window and normal lessons will be suspended. More information will follow ahead of each assessment window to parents of students in the relevant year groups.
Students may collect their results from the Academy on the national GCSE and A-Level results days. A letter containing further information will be sent out before those dates.
Results will be presented in a sealed envelope, which students may choose to open alongside their peers, or take away to open in private. Staff will be on-hand to support with appeals, enrolment and UCAS clearing.
Parents and carers will not be permitted to enter the building on those dates, but are welcome to wait outside reception.
If a student is unable to collect their results from the Academy, they may nominate somebody to collect them on their behalf. We must receive a written request at least 24 hours in advance. That nominated person must bring photographic ID and confirmation that we have accepted your request.
Certificates and Replacements
The Academy will retain your exam certificates for 1 year after they are issued. You must contact the Examinations Officer before the end of that 1 year period to arrange a mutually convenient time to collect the certificates.
If the 1 year deadline has passed, you can apply for a ‘Certified Statement of Results’, which is an official document that lists the subjects you took, the year they were taken, and the grades you achieved. We can provide this for up to 3 years after your final exam. The statement is accepted by most employers, but may need to be accompanied by a verification letter, which you obtain from the awarding body.
We are unable to order or issue replacement certificates.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding examinations, please contact our Examinations Officer Mr Bukasa
