Cluster CPD Sessions

Each half-term, staff sign up to one of a range of CPD sessions led by staff across the academy (not just the Teaching and Learning Team) to make use of and share everyone’s expertise. We also use practitioners from across the Harris Federation and external to the federation too. The sessions run each half-term are a result of a staff consultation at the beginning of the academic year where individual CPD needs are submitted. Each of the sessions have clear ‘takeaways’ that staff can put into practice immediately. After trying these new strategies for half a term, staff are then asked to reflect and provide feedback on how their practice has improved as a result.

The sessions on offer for staff to sign up to in AU1 and AU2 are:

Session Lead Location
Stretch and Challenge for the most able in lessons KMS 221
Differentiation for students with SEN/EAL KIR 222
Showing progress and using AfL strategies in lessons KTU 112
Effective pace and timing in lessons TBU 206
Using the HELM, and using data to inform your planning - creating effectively pitched activities RNA/MWI 215
Effective questioning in lessons                ANO 309
